Former Falcon favourite Frank Smart finished third in the WA (I presume West Australia) State solo speedway championships on Saturday night.
It was reported earlier that Corey (the boots) Blackman was riding as well in this meeting-Just waiting for confirmation of how he got on.
Hopefully if Teresa Doran (sunning herself in Aus),or Corey himself after they have torn themselves away from the hot tub or barbie or one of the family in sunny Exmouth see this they can confirm how he got on if he rode.

Hello,
Thought i'd send a message while cooking in the heat at work!!
Well Corey and Frank did both ride on Saturday night. Corey was a last minute addition as he didn't really want to ride (reckons it was for me incase he hurt himself 3 months before the big day), but got talked into it as Johno had pulled out and they needed to make up the numbers...
Anyway, Corey had a steady night (from what I remember...sat in the bar area all night with the rest of the Blackmans and friends and got quite merry (as you do)). I know he threw a chain in one race and had a third in another, but he also had a win too. Just remembered, he fell too, got a couple of grazes on his leg and the strap of his new helmet (xmas pressie but said he could wear it for a special meeting) hurt under his face, but he came home in one piece so who cares how he got on, which is more than can be said for our frankie....
He had a nasty looking collision (don't think he's had one like that for a while) in the last race before the final with either Corey Cathecole or Cameron Woodward can't remember who, in a very exciting race. Came out for the re-run and ended up in the final in which he came 3rd overall.
On Sunday he came over to our house hardly able to walk or turn his head and a gash down his face. His goggles split in two, and his helmet cracked or something, anyway he went to the hospital yesterday and he's broken his knee. Don't know anymore details as I wasn't at work yesterday when he came in and filled Corey in.
Hope this fills in some of the gaps for you (it probably doesn't), but the heat's getting to my brain!!
We are coming to England middle of June next year with some of Coreys family for 3 weeks to have our wedding party and do the motoGp and cardiff, so hope to see you then.

Thanks for the update, Teresa - good to hear from you.
Sorry to hear that Frank has done some real damage to himself - wish him all the best when you see him again, please.
It was good, too, to hear that Corey fancied a go on the shale again, but in view of the upcoming nuptials you'd better try to keep him on ' our ' side of the safety fence, I reckon !
