Thanks Pere. If I'd know you were going to write all that I wouldn't have bothered to fill in my programme. Couple of points. I too thought the kids race was terrific move. Just what you need to get the youngsters feeling part of the occasion. good to to see so many of the riders and officials getting involved with everyone receiving Cabury's Heroes. Maybe the Coop could sponsor a box every week, Nevs? Some poor kid's parents were taking it VERY seriously. Father was shouting instructions all the time even when the kid was on the back straight and we were standing by the start! Mother messed up the game plan by telling said child to look at her phone camera just as the tapes went up. The donkey derby idea is a definite no no. You don't seriously think Natural England would allow that? Who do you think you are to have such bright ideas, Ian Thomas? No seriously, I had a chat with Kyle Hughes afterwards and he tells me he is already on Allen's books from Oxford. He is currently enjoying racing for Sheffield, but would love to be a 2009 Falcon. Lets see what happens.

i really thought this was the best meeting i've seen this season (and i've been to at least one per week since the start of the season, elite through to conferance). i thought the lads representing the falcons did a sterling job with 110% effort (well done allen & mike for putting them together). i must confess i was the voice calling easy easy on heat 5 but i've recalculated the scores from there on and it didn't affect the result ! phew ! ;D

Totally agree with you Winkey although I've only seen three meetings including Cardiff. It was good racing put on in a very professional manner. Well done, Weymouth, you have a lot to be proud of. Our quartet did us proud too, and while I didn't know any of them before last night, so wasn't sure what to expect certainly could not question anyone's commitment. It was a thoroughly enjoyable evening. Sorry if you missed it, but it wasn't confirmed until Thursday.
