PLYMOUTH SPEEDWAY PROMOTER SUFFERS SUSPECTED STROKE
OFFICIAL WEBSITE RELEASE ISSUED Thursday 4th September
PLYMOUTH Speedway Promoter David Short, has admitted himself to the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital having suffered a suspected stroke. Plymouth speedway promoter Ashley Taylor today spoke to David this morning, "he sounds good and healthy but has lost some support to his left leg".
"I had a good telephone conversation with him this morning. He is now waiting to go through all the assessments and tests and is about to be moved onto the stroke ward." David an ex policeman, recognised the symptoms himself, and felt that's what it might be, then got himself admitted to hospital soon after.
David, has been connected with speedway for many years and has developed a huge knowledge of the sport. He has been connected with Plymouth Speedway since it return to the City in 2006. "David is invaluable to the club" Taylor said, "He Attends all the BSPA meetings, and is a very knowledgeable man."
"Everyone connected with Plymouth Speedway sends David their Best Wishes, for a speedy recovery".
Ashley Taylor is planning to visit David tomorrow and we will of course update this page when we hear anything.

DAVID SHORT UPDATE
OFFICIAL WEBSITE RELEASE ISSUED Friday 5th September
Ashley Taylor today, visited David Short, and has passed on the following information. "After a head scan yesterday and confirmation that David did indeed suffer a minor stroke, with slight loss of control/support to the left leg, The Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital decided to keep David in for overnight observation. It is great news that today David has been released from Hospital with medication and a course of physiotherapy to work on the leg".
