Robert and Tony put on a fine display at the library in St Thomas Exeter today, as part of a ' St Thomas Through the Ages ' exhibition. Jack Geran was there, and featured in a piece done by ITV Regional News, on which Robert and Tony were also interviewed. The only slight hiccup was the fact that ITV could not spell Robert's surname correctly !! Hopefully, a few photos are visible along with this post. Squibby

Thanks Myles. Good to see you at the library and wonderful to see so many of the Falcons family there. Amazingly we had just over 500 people come along. Given it was daytime on a Wednesday (the only weekday the library is closed) it was a marvellous response. Last year's St Thomas Local History Day attracted 300 visitors, so everyone involved was delighted by this year's attendance. One visitor pointed out that there were more people there than some tracks get for a meeting! Lee the Librarian is hoping to arrange more speedway events. The next one will be on Monday 9 March to mark the 86 anniversary of the first speedway meeting at the County Ground. It will take the form of an illustrated talk, hopefully different to the ones on Wednesday, by Yours Truly. Rob will again be putting on a display. However numbers are strictly limited so advance booking will be essential as half the available tickets were booked on Wednesday. Tickets are available only from St Thomas Library.
