Exeter: 1. Matt Bates 2. Saul Bulley 3. Laurence Fielding 4. Tyler Govier Team manager: Robert Doran Somerset: 1. Harvie Banks 2. Stevie Anderson 3. Adam Sheppard 4. Brendan Johnson Team manager: Alan Spencer
Match drawn 18-18
Quote from Somerset report by Dave Thompson
"The evening also treated the fans their first look at the young Exeter Falcons team, being hosted at the Oak Tree Arena this season. They took on a Somerset Rebels junior side, and after some exciting racing the match ended in what Rob Doran, one of the Principals behind the reincarnation of the Falcons, described as an ‘Honourable Draw’, at 18-points apiece. A good number of the crowd stayed behind to watch the match, which bodes well for the remaining fixtures being organised at the Oak Tree Arena by Doran and fellow team Principal Alan Spencer."

The two teams lined up as follows:- EXETER Matt Bates, Saul Bulley, Tyler Govier & Adam Sheppard SOMERSET Zach Wajknecht, Stevie Anderson, Harvie Banks & Laurence Fielding HEAT 1 Bates, Wajknecht, Anderson, Bulley 62.50 ( great ride from Matt to pip Zach on the line! ) 3-3 HEAT 2 Govier, Sheppard, Banks, Fielding 64.50 5-1 ( 8-4 ) HEAT 3 Bates, Banks, Bulley, Fielding 61.62 4-2 ( 12-6 ) HEAT 4 Wajknecht, Sheppard, Anderson, Govier ( fell ) 62.75 2-4 ( 14-10 ) HEAT 5 Sheppard, Bulley, Anderson, Fielding 64.62 5-1 ( 19-11 ) HEAT 6 Banks, Bates, Wajknecht, Bulley 63.62 2-4 ( 21-15 ) FALCONS SCORES:- Matt 8, Saul 3, Tyler 3, Adam 7. SOMERSET SCORES:-Zach 6, Stevie 3, Harvie 6, Laurence 0 As far as I could see, the vast majority of the crowd stayed to watch the Falcons. The crowd was on the low side though. Maybe some were put off by the weather forecast, although ultimately there were just a few spots of rain all evening. It was good to see Adam Roynon doing two lots of 4 laps. He looked fine, particularly on his second four laps where he was riding quickly and out wide. Clearly still has confidence. Hope he can avoid injury from now on. 1-3-5-7 Hear this roar from Glorious Devon E-X-E-T-E-R EXETER !!!!!!!!!!!!

An Exeter Falcons team took part in a 16-heat 4TT at Scunny today, against the home team, and teams representing Belle Vue Colts and Halifax Dukes. Exeter managed 16 points to finish fourth, with Connor Coles scoring 9 and Tom Bacon 7. Sadly, Tyler Govier and Saul Bulley failed to score. By all reports though, it was a brave effort by the Falcons and an enjoyable meeting. Good to see the latest of the Coles line in a Falcons team !

Exeter Falcons 2015 secured another victory, this time by 21 -15 over Birmingham Brummies, at the OTA on Friday night 5th June.
Exeter scorers:-
Matt Bates 9 ( max ) Tyler Govier 6 Tom Bacon 6 Stevie Anderson 0
Birmingham scorers:-
Harvie Banks 6 Robert Parker 4 Saul Bulley 3 George Hunter 2
Highlights were a superb 'outside dummy, inside pass' on the last bend of lap 4 by Matt to pip Harvie on the line in heat 6, and an encouraging two wins for Tyler, who slid off whilst lying second in his second outing. Young Saul did well to rack up three third places, each time behind his teammate.
Thanks must go to Tom Bacon for taking his place at late notice in the Falcons team, after Mitchell Davey was not allowed to race. At Development League level, riders must have British passport status, but it was disappointing not to be able to see Mitchell's progress after his return from around two years out of speedway following severe injuries as a result of a racing crash.
