Richard Andrews rode as a guest for Kent Kings tonight in their final National Trophy meeting, and he scored 7 + 2 as the Kings clinched the Trophy with a 54 - 35 victory over the Isle of Wight Wizards.
( Update:- Richard actually was paid for a full nine points from the three rides he completed, riding at Number 2.
He fell in one ride, and retired with a bike problem in the other one.

Yet again Plymouth secure victory away at the Isle of Wight as they run out 48-42 winners in the NL clash tonight. Richard Andrews scored 9+2, Nathan Stoneman 7 and Adam Sheppard 3. Ben Wilson top-scored with a 15 point maximum. Maximum league points for the Gladiators. They have only failed to win one of nine visits to Smallbrook, if my memory serves me well.

Well - it wasn't Somerset tonight, was it !
It was meant to be a NL meeting versus Leicester Lion Cubs, but it did not happen.
Problems arising from earlier track work, involving introducing clay into the existing shale to minimise dust problems, and recent heavy rain, made the track too heavy to ride safely, so another postponement.
It is a difficult time at the Coliseum just at present.

News on Saturday that Henry Atkins has signed to ride for the Mildenhall Fen Tigers in the NL, to replace David Wallinger.
And there was me hoping he would com back to ride for the Gladiators. Hey ho.

Richard Andrews top-scored with 10 points as the Plymouth Gladiators went down 37 - 50 away at Kent Kings on Monday night in the NL. Nathan Stoneman managed only 3 points. Is his doubling up with Birmingham Brummies in the Championship putting too much pressure on him and his equipment ? On a much happier note, reserve Adam Sheppard rattled up an impressive 8 + 1 score. Great stuff Adam !!
