Connor Coles was in action again for Edinburgh Monarchs in their away Championship meeting at Berwick Bandits tonight, the first of a double-header there. Sadly, he failed to score from three rides as Monarchs slumped to a 30 - 60 defeat.
In the National League, Henry Atkins missed Mildenhall Fen Tigers' defeat away at Leicester Lion Cubs due to prior racing commitments. Tigers lost 36 - 54.
Plymouth Gladiators rode the second of their three meetings in three days, away at Loomer Road against Stoke Potters. After 11 heats they were only eight points adrift, but Potters were too strong in the remaining races and won 54 - 36.
Ben Wilson again top-scored with 13. Nathan Stoneman managed 9 + 2 and Richard Andrews 8, but Kris Andrews still has to register a point after his initial two meetings in the NL.

The Gladiators fell to a third defeat in three days, losing 37 - 53 away at Mildenhall Fen Tigers this afternoon in the NL.
Nathan Stoneman had five race wins and a paid second in his 6 rides, totalling 16 + 1.
Richard Andrews scored 4 from five rides, but suffered a machine failure in one heat, and was excluded following a fall in another, when he was chasing hard to pass a home rider.
Kris Andrews broke his duck, posting 1 + 1 from his four outings.

The Gladiators were soundly beaten by a strong Belle Vue Colts side on Friday in a NL clash, going down 38 - 52.
Despite missing both Kyle Bickley and the fast-improving Aussie Connor Bailey, Colts won easily, using Drew Kemp as a guest for Bickley and R/R for Bailey.
Nathan Stoneman battled hard for 15 points from six rides, and Richard Andrews was his usual never-say-die self, scoring 10 points. Kris Andrews managed one point.
The main meeting was completed and shortly afterwards a total power failure saw the M&SDL second-half meeting abandoned after just one heat.
In the Championship, Connor Coles scored 3 points as Edinburgh thrashed Sheffield Tigers 58 -32 at Armadale, ending the Tigers hopes of a play-off place.

By all accounts, a big crowd turned out to witness the last ever speedway meeting to be held at Loomer Road, Stoke on Saturday evening.
The stadium owners have sold it and the speedway can no longer run there.
The Potters took on Leicester Lion Cubs in a NL fixture, and went down 40 - 50, with Connor Coles the top scorer for the Potters with 15+1 from seven rides. He beat Cubs' top scorer Dan Thompson in heat 7, but lost out to Danyon Hume in the final heat.
This result means that Plymouth Gladiators need a home win and three points next THURSDAY ( 7.15 pm ) against Mildenhall Fen Tigers to avoid finishing with the wooden spoon in the NL this year.

Connor Coles must be one of the busiest riders around in recent weeks.
Tonight he was a guest for Cradley Heathens in both of their double-header meetings, as was Falcon James Chattin.
Connor scored 8 points as Heathens pipped Kent Kings 46 -44 in the NL encounter, thus depriving IOW Warriors of a play-off spot. Heathens now rely on Plymouth Gladiators winning at home to Mildenhall on Thursday to guarantee them a play-off spot in place of the Fen Tigers. James Chattin failed to score.
In the NL KO Cup S/F 1st Leg that followed, Heathens lost 39 - 45 to visiting Belle Vue Colts, the meeting ending one heat short due to curfew. Connor scored 9 points and James two.

The Plymouth Gladiators sadly lost their final NL meeting of the season at home to the Mildenhall Fen Tigers, meaning they finish with the wooden spoon.
The score was 44 - 46. Despite a spirited effort in the last few heats, it was not enough. It was also not enough for the Fen Tigers, as the three points meant they ended one point outside the play-off spots.
Nathan Stoneman scored 13 + 2 from six rides. Jamie Bursill did well to return a 7 + 1 total, Richard Andrews scored 7 and brother Kris failed to score.
Henry Atkins managed 8 for the visitors.

Connor Coles was a guest again on Saturday night, this time for the Eastbourne Eagles in their home Championship encounter with Birmingham Brummies.
On a damp track and rain falling later in the meeting, Connor failed to score.
The Eagles won 37 - 23. The meeting was abandoned after heat 10 and the result stands.
