There was a decent turnout for the pre-season meeting in Exeter on Saturday night.
Matt Bates and Alan Spencer confirmed that it was intended to run a team in the M&SDL again, and they were also planning to put on at least one 15-heat NL standard meeting at Plymouth, as well as a return meeting at an away track, possibly Swindon. The opposition would most likely be a team representing Reading Racers, which could revive happy memories of the Premier Trophy win over Reading in 2004.
The Awards for the 2019 season saw Kris Andrews pick up both 'Favourite Social Media Personality' and ' Rider of the Year '. with young Kai Ward receiving the ' Most Improved Rider' award. Many congratulations to both riders.
A total of five racejackets from 2019 were auctioned off, with top prices being £55 for No 1 and £40 for No 3.
A speedway quiz was also a feature of the evening, and the winning team was the 'M & Ms ' with 32 points.
More news about 2020 team line-up etc as it happens.

As a result of a decision made by the BSPA and the SCB with regard to 'nomadic' teams i.e. teams like the Falcons who do not have their own track,it became impossible to run a team called Exeter Falcons.
This ruling also applies to the likes of Weymouth, Crayford, Carmarthen, Milton Keynes and Reading.
Consequently, in order for the Falcons to run in the Midland & Southern Dvelopment League in 2020 it was necessary to run under a name incorporating 'Plymouth' in the title. Not ideal, but Hobson's Choice if continuity was to be maintained, in the hope of finding a site for a new track near Exeter in the future.
The management of the Falcons have therefore decided to run out of the Coliseum once again, utilising the name 'Plymouth Isca Falcons'. No news yet about rider line-up, or how many other teams will take part in this League.
Details as they are released.
