On Friday on ITV teletext it stated that there was growing opposition to proposed developments at the CG on car parking and traffic movement grounds.
It seems that local residents are now well organised and the previous pkanning applications have been turned down.
I understand from a local resident that having been refused permission for 140 units the next application will be or 188!!
There are also the covenants to get round, I understand that the CG has one that says it must either be an open space or a sports use FOREVER.
The houses adjacent to the CG have a covenant that says nothing higher than the brick wall can be built because it would affect their light, I understand that the Rugby club were prevented from stand building on the back straight by thios some time ago.
Because of the likely effect on house prices this would take serious amounts of money to buy out thehouseholders objections n the basis of the covenant and would only ned one to say no to stuff it up.
Did the developers buy it on the basis of getting development planning, and no money changes hands until planning is granted because if they did the rugby club could be seriously short of funds in the future if the planning fails.
How about a Trelawny sized track to maintain the sports use and the stand built to incorporate a supermarket with acess from the back of the stand and carparking as at Crystal Palace
Well I can dream it is nearly Christmas
