Exeter Select team V Plymouth 02/06/06

I now have the proposed line up for The Exeter Select team V Plymouth on 02/06/2006 at Plymouth.

Due to current regulations only conference league riders are permitted in this meeting with the exception of Michael Coles,who due to the current situation regarding not riding for a premier league team, and eligible for Cl, has been given special dispensation to ride quote "in these circumstances".

The Exeter manangement have decided to reward those riders that stood in for Exeter when Exeter lost the services of Ben Barker through injury last season,or who made the effort to ride in an individual at Exeter when others were less willing.

When,and if a date is arranged for a Somerset V Exeter select then it will be a different matter as premier league riders will be eligible and possibly an EL rider.


The proposed team for the Exeter Select V Plymouth meeting due to current rules at this moment in time are as follows (not in any particular order).....

2.B.Powell
3.L.Priest.
4J.Hargreaves
5.M.Thompson
6.K.Ezergailis
7.M.Bates

Before you knock it just remember they will be wearing the Exeter colours for the first time this season-lets get down there and support all those wearing a Falcons race jacket for the first time this season and make the most of it.

Just remember planning is never a 100% definate cert-so lets get down there and pack the place out while we can and support anyone in a Falcons body colour.-Then meet them again at Haldon in 2007 fingers crossed

If any one is wondering where I got this info from its from the Exeter promoter David Short this afternoon in a phone call from him who wished to explain the situation to everyone regarding the current rules.

Forward the Falcons! The future of our Club (and speedway) is definitely in evidence here, with hungry, keen, young lads who have risen to serve the Falcons well in the recent past, plus the added bonus of Mike Coles (in one of his best roles - I presume -as captain). The riders chosen have earned their places. Let's support that race jacket .... just wish I could be there. Have a great night all.

Not your fault you got the dates wrong for Cardiff is it.Thats that MR Postlewaite chap not considering teachers or bursars on half term and moving forward a week-I blame Beckham and Rooney meself-broken metawhatsall or whatever and this stupid world cup lark.

Im sure a permanent marker pen message on the top of Ben Nevis saying I love ExeterFalcons on a rock somewhere secluded wont get you prosecuted ;D

At least the Exeter team are trying to be honest and not cut corners compared to Ferrari-have to confess taken from main website and when we are up and running will have a "Have a laugh thread"

This could be a great warm-up for Cardiff.

I have heard that there are some who put Cardiff ahead of the Falcons and are going up on Friday to stay overnight instead of supporting our lads. Shame on you.

Where should we congregate at Plymouth to get the best views and make the most noise?

Sadly, air horns are NOT permitted at Plymouth.

The best views are from either end, oddly enough. There is no banking on the straights. Perhaps best to congregate on the first/second bends ? ( which have a decent view, are nearest to the entrance, and surprisingly you dont get much shale/dust coming your way either ).
