Westcountry rivalries will be renewed for the second time in two weeks on Friday 16th June when an Exeter Select team travels to The Oak Tree Arena for "The Westcountry Challenge" between Somerset Rebels and The Falcons.
According to Mike Spearpoint 2 definates riding for Exeter are Mark Lemon and Brent Werner.
Graeme Gordan is putting the full line up together and Mike says we should have the full line up by tomorrow night (Weds)
As soon as I have details of the proposed line up I will post them on here.
Graeme will again be team manager and it will be his 30th birthday on the very same day of the meeting.

The meeting should be well worth attending.

Don't tell me, Nevs - Todd Wiltshire wont be riding for us ??!! I was very surprised to see his name in the line-up in the press, although I suppose GG may have persuaded him to come over to the Oak Tree.
Also, I heard a whisper that GG would not ride, as even a challenge meeting could affect his average and 'we' want to keep this as low as possible re riding for Falcons in 2007. If true, isn't it plain daft that a one-off challenge meeting can affect a rider's league average ?
Hopefully, if no Todd, we will have another 'star rider'instead, to draw in a few more punters to what is often a type of meeting that is poorly attended by other than ardent fans of either team.

If true, isn't it plain daft that a one-off challenge meeting can affect a rider's league average ? The ruling is as follows: "A rider missing at least one season through injury has their CMA reduced by 8% for each COMPLETE season they were absent." Makes about 0.5pts difference on his average and obviously way to early to tell if this may be crucial. PS - Don't think the ruling is daft myself. Very black and white and a good job they considered this before Graeme rode.

I think Seemond had the right idea saying he throws his rulebook away even before it hits the mat on his front step! These rules, why oh why can't they stick to some.

It's changed love, seems Todd Wiltshire won't be riding and Chris Holder (Isle Of S**te) is in. Not sure who this reserve Jordan Frampton is though.
