When I heard that Seb had decided to go on strike and not turn up - I feared the worst, but I was completely wrong. Getting the Bonus as well - Brilliant !!! Lemo - Took 1 race to get back in the swing of things, after that he never looked like dropping a point. Lee - Very sharp out of the start, didn't look that quick after that but that's the name of the game at the CG these days. Well done on getting your maximum mate !! Sam Hurst - Was always going to be out of his depth. Keep going mate - you'll get there. Oh and thanks for turning up, it's more that Seb could be a*sed to do !! Seemond - Looked super quick until heat 15, another solid home performance. Pav - Great to see him finally doing what he's capable of. Looked much more determined last night and was riding both inside and out in an attempt to pass - Fantastic stuff Pav, keep it up. Ben - Absolutely brilliant !!! I'm all for young British riders stepping up to the challenge of the Premier league and (especially after the Seb debacle) I'm so pleased that he's shown everyone that he can ride the County Ground as well as he does the away tracks. Ben - You have a hell of a future if you keep putting that effort in. The glasgow team were mixed - Ekberg was really good which surprised me as did Shane Parker who looked totally disinterested. Why do I care - we WON !!!!!!!! Gater ;D Jubilant Gater

Indeed twas a brilliant showing by all the team - talk about ' Tales of the Unexpected ' !! A big thankyou to Lee and Seemond for ramming my recent negative words down my throat. Also, very well done to Lemo, Pavel and especially Ben. A special mention for young Sam Hurst. No way should he feel bad about his performance, as he apparently does ( see British Forum ). I assume his brief was to make sure he completed 4 laps every time, and he did that well - no over-the-top manouevres, no reckless riding resulting in falls. A mature performance from a youngster who will hopefully have much success in the future. All we need now is for the lads to show the same hunger and passion in ALL our remaining meetings.

Can anyone tell me please what Dave Short announced regarding our future, as I was on the telephone at the time and couldn't hear what he said. Any good news for next year? Thanks

Could it be Haldon R******E by any chance? I've sensored part of the place just incase any protestors up that way i.e. natives, tree huggers, Little Chef workers, monkeys, Bigfoot etc are reading this forum.

I think the fact that we "may be able to use existing planning permission" gives us a clue. If that proves to be the case then Speedway in 2006 is a distinct possibility.
If we need new planning permission then we all need to get on the backs of our local councillors to ensure that it is pushed through in record time. Anything can be achieved where there is a WILL. Colin Hill left a will and all we have to do is make sure HIS wishes are fulfilled and not the wishes of others who stand to benefit.

Best team performance of the season absolutely brilliant welldone guys! Thought the track looked more like it used to glasgow peobably came down thinking the track was going to be just right for them as it has been for visitors this season I reckon it must have put them off. look at the difference in our guys being able to ride more than 1 line must have been a treat.
