County Ground The Final Year Anyone not yet visited or is unable to visit before the County Ground is demolished here is your chance to savour the delights of this mystical Stadium and Track feared by some (who will remain nameless) and adored by others(too numerous to mention). These photos try to cover every nook and cranny of the County Ground and amongst them you will find a complete 360° shot of the track. Hope they bring back happy or may be not so happy memories to visitors to the County Ground. Whatever your views on the track the day the County Ground is demolished will be a very sad day for Exeter Speedway. Visit community.webshots.com/album/426205236nGvRbt and Enjoy Lastly many thanks to Honey for letting me take the photos idh More Exeter Speedway Shots at community.webshots.com/user/idh47

Hi everyone ,
Good to see the County Ground and familiar faces once again. It'll be sad to see the old place bull-dozed after all these years, the photos bring back many happy memories in a place I near enough grew up in.
Funnily enough I don't miss going to Speedway as much as I thought I would. Before coming to Australia, speedway had nearly always been my life, but you do get used to it not being around you. I've only seen speedway twice in almost a year as it's non-existant here, but have reminders everyday as I walk past Coreys speedway bikes waiting to be ridden sat in his bikeshop.
So anyway, enough of the sentimentals..... Unfortunately I won't be at the end of an era meeting (obviously) but hope it goes well, it's one meeting I would like to be home for but unless anyone wants to do an Ivan and sponsor me....... ;D I won't be there!!
I'll continue to check in every so often to see what progress is being made,
Good luck with finding a new home, until I post again,
Merry Xmas!!!

i have had a look at the photos and i would just like to say a big thank you and a well done to the photographer, as these photos are memories, not just for the falcons, but for any rugby team or sports team fortunate enough to use the CG before its demolition. [shadow=red,left,300][glow=red,2,300]anyone who hasnt looked at these photos yet should, and anyone who has should take another look... [/glow][/shadow]

G'day Nevsy,
Things here in Oz are great, Corey is recovering from the injuries he sustained at Geraldton at Xmas. He has to go back to the hospital every couple of months for check ups but apart from his back giving him pain every now again, is fine.
We're both flat out as he's just started his own business wrecking and selling motorbikes and i'm helping him out, well trying...i know the difference between a speedway bike and roadbike but thats about it!! We see Frank and Charlie Smart almost everyday so we're keeping busy.
He's toying with the idea of having another ride but just for fun - at the new junior track thats just opened up in Waneroo. At the moment we are both happy living here and he's not too bothered about racing again, so there are no plans to return to the UK in the near future.
Have passed on your regards to Corey, he say's G'day China!! The boots are in his kit bag in the workshop so they're staying safe and warm!!
See ya when we return for a visit,
Teresa.
