Great idea.
That gives him a good opportunity to be part of an existing setup and learn what mistakes not to make when Exeter return.
Pleased to hear it.

Great news for Oxford, and respect to Allen for getting involved-for hopefully rescuing another club and Exeter planning going through later this year,in the same way Terry Russell helped us out of a hole when it looked likely we were doomed. If it wasnt for Terry at the time and then Allen afterwards we wouldnt even be sat here typing about anything Very best of luck to Oxford and their fans, helpers, and Allen in this venture and hope it works out for everyone Listen to his interview on Radio Oxford through the link below. Then click the blue "interview with new oxford promoter " piece halfway down the page. Tuesday's Express and Echo Report from this is exeter.co.uk
FALCONS REMAIN ALLEN'S PRIORITY Be the first reader to comment on this story
11:40 - 12 June 2007
Exeter Falcons backer Allen Trump says he is as determined as ever to get the club flying again - despite coming to Oxford's rescue.Trump agreed to take charge of the Lions over the weekend after the previous owner put them into liquidation.
He felt speedway needed to keep a team in a place like Oxford with such a rich history in the sport.
But Trump is not going to turn his back on the Falcons in favour of the former Elite League outfit and still describes Exeter as "my club".
"I am still committed to Exeter," he said. "Exeter is my club and there is no question about that.
"I have put too much time in and spent too much money to turn my back on Exeter now.
"It is no secret that I am increasingly frustrated with the planning process and the demands and requirements of English Nature. I know we will succeed with the application."
Trump spoke to British Speedway bosses at the end of last week about the situation at Oxford and they encouraged him to make his interest known.
Having had a meeting with stadium owners, the Greyhound Racing Association, he decided to go ahead and a deal was quickly agreed.
"I was in Copenhagen at the weekend and things really took off on Friday," he said.
"I had 24 hours to think about it and make up my mind but I realised speedway could not afford to lose a club like Oxford.
"The Elite League was not sustainable but the club will continue at some level, hopefully in the Premier League and hopefully against Exeter soon."

First report from last night's fan's forum at Oxford as posted by someone called Jemma on the BSF forum who was there to hear it all.
Quote
"On June 5th I posted the following 'wish' for Oxford Speedway:
" I want to be convinced that any new person in charge has a sensible and achievable long-term vision for the stability of the club over the next 5 years at least. I want the club to be as transparent as possible, appear trustworthy and free of ridicule and scandal. Make the whole experience of going to speedway at Oxford a positive one again, and with the promotion earning the repect of the fans rather than demanding it or assuming it as a right."
I have been at the fans forum at Oxford Stadium tonight where the supporters were introduced to Allen Trump and Peter Oakes for the first time. I was very impressed by what they said tonight and I believe we finally have a promoter who can help us achieve the things I wished for. Allen Trump in particular was a breath of fresh air in all that he said - no rash promises, no hot air, but plenty of good economic sense and clear, sustainable objectives for the club. He is clearly a very astute businessman and an excellent manager of people. I believe in what this promotion is trying to achieve and the way he plans to do it. For the first time in a long time, I think the future of Oxford Speedway genuinely is in good hands. So I very much hope the Oxford public will be out in force on Sunday for our comeback meeting and prove that speedway is sustainable at Oxford. I for one will be there."
Unquote.
