Exeter Speedway Supporters meeting 30/10/2007

The Exeter Speedway Supporters Club once again welcome the world's No.1 referee, Tony Steele, as the guest speaker at their opening winter social meeting which takes place at the Cat & Fiddle Inn at Clyst St Mary on Tuesday 30 October.

Mr Steele is held in great respect by speedway riders world wide and has taken charge at numerous Grands Prix and world cup meetings so supporters can expect an enlightening and entertaining evening. Falcons' owner Allen Trump will also be attending the meeting and updating the fans on the situation regarding his latest planning application to build Exeter's new track at Haldon Racecourse.

The meeting will commence at 7.30pm.

Don't think Tony has actually been out of topline refereeing, only the SGP which was not his choice. I fear that the decision not to exclude Nichols for bringing down Bomber (racing incident or not) was political eg TV time schedules but could just have been incompetence as we have seen from this man before. Anyhow Bomber's calm behaviour seems to have earned him a wild card, something Nicholls would not have done. I am sure Tony will discuss this incident, and any other you wish to talk about.

I would just like to Thank Mr Steele and Mr Trump for a very entertaining evening.
Congratulations also to The Commitee for laying on such a great event,it was the first one the wife and I have attended and we both look forward to the next one.
