"I'd like to assure Falcons fans that my involvement with Oxford and Coventry has in no way diminished my determination to obtain Planning Permission for the Falcons at Haldon. I'd like to give Exeter supporters an update of where we are: On Thursday the Geotec land survey was completed on the new site which now means that the stadium layout can be completed and hopefully the second and revised Planning Application will now be submitted within the next three weeks. Much of the accompanying paperwork will be a variation of the original application and therefore we're already 75% of the way there. Running multiple businesses is something I've successfully managed for many years so running more than one track does not present problems for the development of Exeter. Both the Jockey Club (owners of Exeter Racecourse) and Colin Hill's Estate are still fully supportive and are as eager as the rest of us to return the Exeter Falcons to the speedway family, where it belongs. The return of Exeter has become an emotional crusade for many of us and we will succeed so please keep the faith. I look forward to seeing everyone at the next Supporters Club meeting with our special guest Peter Oakes."
Many thanks Allen-am sure it puts a few peoples minds at rest

I just wonder how the BSPA will react to the possibility of one man running three tracks. Something tells me certain members will not like it too much. Hope I'm wrong and that the Falcons can rise from the reptile fertiliser into which they were dumped. As someone said: "Tis a mad mad world, my masters"

I, for one am mightily relieved to hear Allen's reassurance of his commitment to the Falcons - it was with some nervousness that I read the news about the Coventry take over. I wish him the best of fortune at Coventry and the hope that one or two of the connections he is making will come to be of benefit to the Falcons when they swoop around Haldon in 2009 !

I believe that Mr. Trump has only leased Coventry Speedway from present owner Mr. Sandhu for 2008 season, with an option to buy outright for 2009. He may decide not to go ahead with that purchase this time next year, I suppose. As for multiple involvement, that is not exactly a new phenomenon ( Terry Russell springs to mind, with his weekly ad in the Speedway Star for four tracks during 2005, including of course Exeter, and Tony Mole more recently ) so I doubt it will ruffle too many feathers with the BSPA. ( Did I just say that ?!! - Bound to go the opposite way now then - stand by for fireworks at the promoters' AGM !!! )
