What an emotional end to the CG , it was great for me personally to meet up again with Cookie and Greenie who I had so many laughs with during my spannering days, to talk to many old friends and to see so many people at the county ground 2800 capacity my arse more like 6000 . Brought a lump to the throat seeing the lone figure of Honey Sanford walk onto the track and lay a wreath in memory of her dad Tony. Highlight of the night apart from a pint with DaveT, Nevs, Ivan M (flob-a-loba weeeeeed) and bird, was the sight of the greatest ever speedway rider riding the last four laps, Ivan Mauger, brilliant. Well done to our very own cider junkie for getting 4th place too, good on ya Zorro Special Mention must go to Craig and Nevs for some wonderful backing music especially crazy horses for Vaclav!!! superb. There ya ginger git I can say something nice about you ;D Goodbye County Ground, Gone but you'll never be forgotten

Then Honey, bless her, paying tribute to her father reduced me to a blubbering wreck!! Well done to all concered , great night, and Craig,Swedes right for once, great music!!

What a night agree with you all.
Top marks to Craig "The Final Countdown" played for the Last Race, Nearly brought the Tears to the eyes. Great to see Scott again, the wife warned me not to return without a photo and a autograph, got both.
Hope to have a few of the shots on the WEB soon.
Sorry i missed you Ivan, got to the bar at 1045, Nevs told me you had to rush to catch a train.

Sad night for all of us. Well done Honey a difficult and sad night for you and your family. I went for a final walk of the track at the end of the meeting, and paid my respects to your dad, as I knew Tony very well.

i thought that last night was brilliant, but i was very upset when the it was the very end. whilst the fireworks were going i was thinking 'this is the last time i will ever see this track again' and i as i was thinking it the tears were filling up in my eyes. i will miss the CG so much. its been a great track, i just hope in our new one that we are able to look over into the pits, that was one thing i definetly enjoyed. haha.
