A Race Summary:
Stars win the toss and take gates 1 and 3.
HT1: Shaun Tacey starts where he left off with Workington by winning the race ahead of Tomas Topinka and Lee Smethills beats Ashley Jones.
HT2: Troy Batchelor wins this one for the Stars from Pavel Ondrasik and Ben Barker with Barrie Evans last.
HT3: Kevin Doolan takes the race from Seemond Stephens and Ray Morton passed Jan Jaros on his way to third.
HT4: Oliver Allen rode Toni Svab wide to take control of the race. Svab and Ondrasik followed with Batchelor at the back.
HT5: Tomas Topinka stormed the race in quick time from Ray Morton with Ashley Jones keeping Seemond at the back.
HT6: Oliver Allen wins it from Shaun Tacey and Barrie Evans beats Lee Smethills.
HT7: Toni Svab WINS after riding Doolan wide (learned it from Allen). Doolan and Jaros fill the gap with Ben Barker last.
HT8: Lee Smethills and Pavel Ondrasik give the Falcons fans something to cheer about with our first 5-1.
HT9: Oliver Allen breaks the tapes. Evans comes in to replace him but he was a reserve switch so cannot ride. Allen is therefore back in off 15 metres but he fails to make the 2 minutes. Start delayed again as Batchelor is moved from gate 4 to gate 2 where he would have to be if Allen was actually coming off 15 metres. After all the palava Seemond and Ray Morton produce a Falcons 5-1.
HT10: Shaun Tacey wins from Jan Jaros with Lee Smethills beating Kevin Doolan and the Falcons are looking good with the score on 34-26.
HT11: Toni Svab gives up after being outgated and Tomas Topinka wins from Ben Barker with Ashley Jones in third.
HT12: Jan Jaros and Troy Batchelor earn the Stars a 5-1 but Pavel Ondrasik had battled past Jaros into first place just before a puncture on the final bend which saw all three riders pass him. Seemond then makes a point of demonstrating the KL diagonal starting tactics.
HT13: Tomas Topinka demonstrates he is a "class above" with Shaun Tacey relegated to second. Oliver Allen stays ahead of a despondent Toni Svab.
HT14: Kevin Doolan loses control of his bike trying to hold it back as it savages the tapes. Troy Batchelor then wins from Ray Morton and Pavel Ondrasik.
HT15: Tomas Topinka is No.1, Shaun Tacey and Ray Morton fill the minor placings as Oliver Allen retires.
It WAS a good meeting with plenty of incident but all Falcons Fans were left fearing for the future as the announcement was made that we are "unlikely to run in 2006" and "In 2007 all will be O.K. again."

I am a Tacey supporter and wanted him here for the season. He did ride well and kept us in it.
Man for man, though, I thought Topinka won the contest.
Performance wise, regardless of what is going on in the minds of our riders, only PAVEL demonstrated the guts and determination to attack when he was behind.
Svab and Stephens let themselves down when they were outgated, albeit by slightly 'across the line' moves.
