Round seven of the Local Cycle speedway individual series was held over five groups. Rain during the day damped the track to make racing fast on the night. In group ‘E’ Lauren Hookway raced to an unbeaten maximum to win the group on 16 points from Tanisha Heyde on 13 points in second. Group ‘D’ saw a win for Charlie Jane Herbert on 14 points from Liam Borrowdale on 11 points both closing the gap in the averages on the group leader Jack Herbert who is at present unable to ride through injury.
(Edit Jack aged about 7 or 8-Broken hand or something similiar whilst practising-something like that if I could get any sense out of my lot whilst they are totally engrossed watching Deal or No Deal -Nevs
Group ‘C’ was the fiercest battle for top spot with three riders eventually drawing on 11 points Aaron Coles, Sam Dart and Tim Lake with Jamie Borrowdale just one point adrift on 10 points. Group ‘B’ saw another win for Craig Nethercott on 15 points to further increase his lead at the top of the group averages. Group ‘A’ was again an entertaining contest and saw some fast and furious racing with the eventual winner Dominic McCrae on 13 points from second place Thomas Reed on 11 points.
