Report from Andy Collett.

Round six of the Local Cycle Speedway League took place on a damp track with plenty of grip and fast racing. Thomas Reed lead the way in the ‘A’ group with 15 points only beaten once by second placed Dominic McCrae who finished with 13 points, Craig Nethercott finished third with 11 points. In group ‘C’ Aaron Coles continues his run of good form to finish on 15 points winning from second placed Joe Avery on 10 points. A maximum 16 point score from Brandon Lea secured first place in the ‘D’ group with Liam Borrowdale in second on 12 points. Group ‘E’ saw another 16 point maximum this time for Morgan Ballard to finish top from Scott Borrowdale on 13 points and Jenson Heyde on 12 points.
This coming Saturday The Exeter club have been honoured to be hosting the 2007 British Women’s club championship final and the Semi finals and finals of the 2007 British under 19’s individual championship. The club members have worked very hard to keep the standard of the track and presentation to a high standard and this hard work is what has bought these events to Exeter. I write this article to you on Sunday morning after being informed Saturday night that during the afternoon of Saturday these events may have been put in doubt due to the mindless vandalism caused by party’s unknown, to the club hut, announcers and starters building and changing rooms. I will be meeting the other members of the club at the track very shortly to attempt to make repairs to enable us to salvage this meeting.
