Is it just me, or was anyone else left with a bad taste in the mouth after monday night? What a bloody irony - thrashed on our own patch by the vast majority of a team who came here and lost 75-18 not that long ago. Yes, the track was as slick as hell last night and suited them, and we didn't gate well enough, but why did it have to be Rye House? If any other team had done us over I'd have said well done, you deserved it, but for it to be RH was too much to swallow, especially as Tacey helped them do it. If we have seen the demise of the Falcons, then at least there will be one good thing to come out of it. I'll never have to pay to watch Len Silver and his team again.

I know what you mean but did you get a feeling of deja vu when Berwick beat us their team spirit was very evident and ours was lacking, same on monday, I stand by the pits and the difference in the body language of both teams was very evident. A lot of the postings on the British Speedway forum were saying what a great win it was for the sparklers and without doubt they deserved their win but it was against a team that is down on its luck and it showed. I think that the management have had a very difficult first season, they have had a lot to learn and and have learnt, the floodlights are a good example. So here's to next season let's hope we have league racing and with a seasons experience now behind them will be aware of some of the problems and pitfalls and be better prepared.

Very well put, mate - I agree with all you say.
I for one am more than happy to put in as many hours as possible throughout the winter and early spring if it means we can get Premier League racing at the new venue in 2006. ( Yes, I am a lazy layabout who does not have a proper job ! ;D) Let's hope that Teignbridge D.C. do not drag their collective feet over our planning application, so the necessary services can be put in asap and enable the track, its lighting, drainage etc, toilets and the like to be finished in time.
Spectator-comforts-wise it will probably be a tad spartan, but I'm sure we will all put up with that to see the Falcons fly in the P.L. again next year, and then it can all slowly but surely be improved to the necessary standard.

Yes, I would also echo those comments - if help is required at Haldon then I will be there too, along with my family. Its a few miles nearer for us too, bring it on; don't delay Teignbridge, give us a fair chance of doing what we can by pushing through the application.

Yes, I would also echo those comments - if help is required at Haldon then I will be there too, along with my family. Me too, along with Gemma and Craig-but after this seasons debacle getting them both painting the pits I think its best to count us three out of anything that involves paint cos between the two of them we went home with more paint on our clothes than they probably managed to paint in the pits between them . Mind you paint fights are fun when you are a kid.......
