From the Express & Echo - Saturday March 28th
The Exeter Aces began their South West League season with a shock 89-88 win over reigning champions Poole.
Thomas Reed led the way for the Aces at Cofton Road as he scored 18+2 points.
The other scores were Dominic McCrae 16+1, Craig Nethercott 16, Mark Reed 15, Aaron Herbert 9, Dan Winchester 7, Sam Dart 4 and Andy Collett 4+1.
After the South West League meeting, the Aces' second team went down 47-32 to the same opponents in the Combination League.
The Exeter riders' scores were: Aaron Coles 9+1, James Crampton 7+1, Joe Avery 6, Corey Heyde 5 and Charlie Jane Herbert 5.
The final meeting of the day was an Under-18s Conference match, which Poole won 80-65.
The Exeter scores were: Aaron Herbert 14, Aaron Coles 12, Corey Heyde 12+1, Craig Nethercott 11+2, Sam Dart 7, James Crampton 6, Lauren Hookway 2 and Charlie Jane Herbert 1.

They seemed to do ok yesterday at Southampton arriving home at 10pm and off to Wales again to race at East Newport in the morning-not got a chance to hear how it went as yet cos home and bed with regarding the youngsters.
Tom won the GP Craig was third thats all I know- he has gone off to bed with his cuddle sheet and heading for Newport in a few hourstime ;D
He just grunted a bit when he got home and I wasnt going to ask him to explain again
