APPROVED subject to the Highways agency and Sport England rescinding their holding objections
These are objections they make to slow things down when they havent got around to answering the questiopns they have been asked, it is not aanticipated that there will be a problem

Is this 'slowness' likely to affect Plymouth's confirmation to join the Conference League for 2006 or are we looking at 'open' meetings?
Actually, any positive news is fantastic, if true!

Answers should be in place by January 16 at the latest, the agencies are committed to that date

Site seen - looks promising. A little oasis surrounded by A38 traffic, wooden pallets and macdonalds. No activity today except little grebes on the Plym and a dog walker or two.

I am told that the first sod will be lifted today by the leader of PCC if he has a slot in his diary.
Nigel Prynne anticipates the base being finished by end of next week

Seen Mike Bowden working at the Plymouth site today, track shape & size as per Trelawny which produced some brilliant racing. 150 tonnes of shale being delivered tomorrow & he says it's all systems go for the Conference League at the end of April. Looking forward to it as it is about 2 minutes walk from where I work !!!

Time to make a comment which may not be too popular - Why should Seemond be allowed to ride in the conference league ? This is supposed to be a development league, not simply somewhere for surplus PL riders. Peter Morrish (CL co-ordinator) stated in the star a few weeks ago that he'd had an enquiry about a 30 something rider who hadn't got a PL place and that there was no place for such riders in the League. There is a bit of inconsistancy here.
