Good to see a mention of the Exeter Falcons in recent Speedway Stars via the letters pages, courtesy of Gordon and Ross.

Never a week goes by without sighing and knowing that there is not a column dedicated to our club.

Had a meal last night at the Cat and Fiddle before a wild night out on Aylesbeare common with nightjars and glow worms (another story) - but what a different venue to a night of celebration in Autumn 2008.

Have never written to the Speedway Star before, but if I had, it would echo these exact sentiments and questions.....

Im sure we all echo the sentiments so succinctly put by Ross in his letter to the Star.

Sadly, I suspect that they will simply echo around the offices of Pinegen Ltd. I very much doubt it will get a reply from any of those involved with the discussions that are allegedly going on with the racecourse owners.

A friend told me not long ago that the Jockey Club were not now the sole owners of Exeter Racecourse. He said that they had become joint owners with a consortium of some sort. Anyone know if this is correct ?
