Would just like to wish Martin Downer ( Deputy Sports Editor of The Express and Echo) all the very best for the future, as he has taken redundancy following the Express and Echo going weekly.
Martin reported on The Falcons' for a good few years leading up to the End Of Era meeting in 2005,and since then.
As a young sports reporter joining the mayhem of Speedway he did a great job.
Very best wishes to you Martin in whatever the future holds for you, in whatever you decide to do,and thanks from all us Falcons fans for all your reports on the meetings you attended,scribbling away,and all news following our closure.
