Sad to report that Neil is very ill and has been taken into hospital in Australia. His family are with him and Jack Geran is keeping me informed.

Neil passed away this afternoon. A great man and a good friend who has so very much for speedway around the world. R.I.P

RIP Neil; Fond memories, a great servant and ambassador to speedway;

One of life's true gentlemen. He will be sorely missed.
Who could have realised, when Neil came by sea to this country as a young man with a speedway bike and not much else, back I believe in 1952, that he would become a speedway legend both on and off the track.
Deepest sympathies to all his family.
