Nice to see a fellow forum member airing his views in the Echo Letters page today.
Please note he is talking about Exeter City Council and not Teignbridge which is the council dealing with our application.

"Well done, Exeter City Council, for slapping Exeter Speedway in the face once again. For over two years now, Exeter Speedway has been looking for a new home but has the city council helped them out?
I don't think so. Apparently, there is no land in and around Exeter, the council says, but when the gipsies come into town it stands up and takes notice.
You want some land near the M5? No problem. You want car parking facilities? No problem. And we will even give you security.
All these things that the council is going to give to the gipsies, Exeter Speedway has been asking for and the answer has been a point blank no.
I know people don't like speedway in their back garden, you could see that with the failure of Westpoint proposals, but I bet they would prefer to put up with the Falcons once a week for two hours rather than having gipsies on their doorstep seven days a week."
I presume the following link is the one he is referring to.
