well done to phil batho on his victory and thanks to allen for presenting the trophy. runner up was myles sutherland, but people only ever remember the winner.
if anyone is interested i will post the complete list of competitors
and their times. also if someone tells me how to do it i will post the photo's of phil receiving his trophy.
p.s. we aim to make this an annual event so the competition will commence for the 2007 champion at our february meet.

just come back from the brighton bonanza where we had the beat the starter comp running all day. although many of the pros attempted, none could beat phil batho's .167 set earlier this year mind you american newcomer billy miles came mighty close with .169. acouple of the other americans weren't too far behind and the russians were well adrift.
so when we resume for the 2007 championship the challenge is really on to lower phils colours.

Nice to see it getting a mention in this weeks Speedway Star-just a shame Phil as a fellow forum member couldnt have got mentioned as the reigning champ  ;D ;D One day Phil-Its cos you are English you know....These bleedin yanks get all the publicity.... Nice to see it was a fund raiser for the supporters club Winkey-did you manage to raise a few quid over the day? |

DOH !!! there goes my moment of fame, as i am very good at beginners luck (note to sqibby for next year). When i first entered the speedway star fantasy league i ended up 15th overall.
