Rumour has it that Chris broke the track record in his opening ride on Saturday. It would not suprise me as he won the heat in relative comfort. Has anybody else heard this. Source was British Speedway Forum so it must be true?

I believe this is true. Previous record was given as 56.9 by Greg Hancock, about 3 or 4 years back, and Bomber won in 56.6 seconds last weekend.

Not sure though if track is exactly the same length every year at Cardiff
