Headmaster reported a sighting of a much maligned and missed species yesterday in his yard. This creature, usually shy by nature, was occasionly apt to scrape perimeters of its territory in full flight and has also been known to migrate to further regions in previous attempts to fly; with painful consequences.
Hello the lesser spotted Simmo. You were sited in Ashburton yesterday. Hope you managed to escape with your vehicle.
Hope you and your family are well ;Dx

Funnily enough, Simmo's name cropped up on our recent trip to Oz. Some fans from other tracks said they had heard this vastly exaggerated story "about a rider going over the fence and ending up in someone's garden". By the time they got over the shock that it was indeed true, we explained the plight of the poor St. John's man sent to get him out. When they then heard about Simmo's comments of never having seen that part of the stadium before ..........
Got to say we all had a good laugh, although we did point out that it was very serious at the time and the stadium went a deathly quiet until we found out that Simmo was alright. Did point out that there was no truth in the rumour that someone went and knocked on the door of said house and asked if we could have our rider back please!

Hello all i know its been a long time but better late than never as they say, i did get out of ashburton alive and in 1 piece ha ha. Sorry i didnt stop too chat but i was blocking the road so thought i better move on as quickly as i could, really glad to hear your still getting laughs from all the pain i sufferd while flying over the fence at the great old county ground only joking about the laughs bit. Its nice to hear that we may be having a couple new tracks opening up this year or next i was thinking of getting my bike out and going to plymouth and doing a few laps in march just for fun. anyway i hope everyone is ok and maybe i will bump into a few more of you in the next 12 months

Really great to hear from you Mark. Glad you escaped Ashburton - many don't! Sorry you didn't get sense from Headmaster; what can you expect. I can only apologise; but he did appreciate your predicament in the road situation!!
However, I just have to reassure you that your legacy at the County Ground was not just for performing a remarkable stunt!. The escapism on that night certainly was shocking; I really thought I didn't want to be part of this sport. But, you came back (6 weeks later - were you mad with your hip injury?!) and I returned, hungry for more action. For me, you were truly a Exeter Falcons hero.
Would be great to see to you at Plymouth; we have been enjoying the local action which is amazing; whilst we await the return of the Falcons…..
You won’t remember us; but you always had a smile and a little chat with us when our paths crossed at Exeter and Trelawny. We have fond memories as I am sure you do too of the old County Ground. ;D

Good to see you still posting on here. You took the time to attend the first ever forum meet up many moons ago and was only talking with Punkydawg last night about how good that first night was when you and Colesy took the time to attend. It was very much appreciated by us fans at the time Hope you are well. John First ever forum meet up pictures Good times fondly remembered.
