The next supporters club event will be at The Cat & Fiddle Wednesday 5th March 7.30pm Start. All supporters welcome. (The venue is unavailable on the Monday or Tuesday) hence the one off change to a Wednesday Evening Guest Speaker to be announced once finalised Anyone wishing to either join or renew their membership can do so by either contacting a committee member at the next meeting or by post to Robin Playstead (secretary), Noirmont, 23 Eastfield, West Hill, Ottery St Mary, EX11 1XN The cost of membership is as follows and remains the same as last year. Adults £3, OAP's £2,Children £1 Why not join the supporters club for that small amount and show your support for The Falcons?- a small price to pay-Adult membership is about the same price as a pasty at Cardiff-The pasty lasts ten minutes-membership lasts a season. Talking of Cardiff....... The supporters club are also going to be running coaches to Cardiff for the British Grand Prix on June 28th. Considering the huge rise in the cost of fuel over the past year the prices per seat are very reasonable at just £15 per seat (For the coach seat not a seat at the match meeting itself) To book your seat on a coach or for further details contact Gordon on 01803315307 / 07971799824

Well - this was undoubtedly the worst supported meeting I've been to. I would guess that there were about 30/40 at most, and a couple of new members who were attending for the first time must have got the impression that it was not worth their effort. IDH laid on a quiz, which was a bit of fun - thanks for your time and trouble mate, much appreciated. I gather that Gordon W is away on hols, but no-one who might have been able to update us on the subject of the proposed revised planning application was present - very disappointing indeed. Now I am well known in certain circles for having a somewhat cynical outlook on life these days, but I cannot help thinking that it was more than just a coincidence that no-one was able to be there to give the fans a progress report. Anyone who was not there fancy putting me in my place with some news, preferably good ? What is preventing the revised application going in ? How come it was all but ready in early December last year, but is still apparently not finalised 3 months down the line ? Have Natural England and/or the RSPB reared their extremely ugly heads once more ? They say that no news is good news, but that old adage is wearing very thin now. It's not that I don't appreciate all that Mr. Trump has done so far to try to save our beloved speedway team, but if there is a fatal problem I would prefer to know the bad news sooner rather than later. I doubt I will be popular for at least some part of this post, but hey, I bet I'm only saying what all of you are thinking, eh ?

Hi Squibby,
Don’t feel you should apologise for your last post. You are being entirely honest and wearing heart on sleeve. Thanks for feedback from the meeting, although I feel now we should’ve send apologies for absence (again).
30/40 supporters plus 2 new is really not bad; it should be celebrated for a club in its interregnum; but I am sure everyone made them welcome.
From what I remember, if what Allen said before Christmas is right he had already spoke to Natural England who did not propose new surveys as they have no interest in the new site. It is not prime heathland and therefore has no wildlife value. He also said there were no noise or road issues anticipated.
However, the question you raised clearly remains.

Many people are monitoring the Teignbridge website daily.
That is how much we care.
We will know when anything happens.
Matters must be allowed to follow their course.

Ooops ! Looks like I've messed up. Sorry IDH. This clearly shows that I need to attend a Forum meet, if only to learn who is who !! As for ' interregnum ', that's far too long a word for me !
