Former Exeter Favourite Corey "The Boots" Blackman and Teresa Doran (daughter of Rob Doran) finally did the dreaded deed and got married on Saturday in Australia where they now live.
This is a message from Teresa and Corey to everyone at Exeter Speedway and some photos of the day.
Glad to see they got their priorities right and got a speedway bike in on the photos as well.
Hello everyone,
Attached are a few photos from our wedding last Saturday.
We both had a wonderful day with everything being perfect. The sun shone
all day and the rain and thunder which was predicted never arrived. Corey
scrubbed up very well. I am told he was very nervous before hand and
couldn't look at me during the ceremony as he was worried he would shed some
tears.
I wasn't nervous at all. I spent the morning vacuming and cleaning out my
fridge!! Dad pulled out Coreys speedway bike so we could have some photos
on it (thought it was fitting as thats how we met after all) It was only
when dad told me he was proud of me and told me how nice I looked I started
to get a few butterflies. I responded with a 'yeah don't go there..shut
up'! which I know wasn't very kind of me, but I didn't want to risk any
tears!!
Everyone has told us they had a brilliant day, and I just wish I could do it
again. (without all the organising which drove me up the wall during the
week before).
Mum, dad, sarah and Elaine left last night, and are now on the final leg of
their journey home after their short stay here. They've all left happy in
the knowledge that Corey and I are truly happy and that I may be thousands
of miles from home, but we both have each other to take care of us for many
many years to come.
We would also like to say thank you to everyone who signed the card at the last supporters club meeting for us. It wasn't expected and was very kind.
