Incredible - realisation is now actually allowing me to believe that speedway is continuing in Devon for 2006. Huge credit to Mike Bowden and co. for pursuing the ambition - plus an opportunity to serve up our beloved platter to starved west country fans; plus entice new/old fans from a huge catchment area around Plymouth. From my point of view - I would rather see a raw, hungry conference team meeting than drive 3 hours to see a ELRC (especially when rained off). I love speedway at all levels - but just as a mention - so glad we managed to fit in Carmarthen before they became defunct - such drive and energy by all concerned. Conference league should definitely be the future for our British lads. Here's hoping the Devils will be on the menu for many years ahead - especially when facing the Exeter (Haldon) Falcons! BTW - can I have a box to stand on please tomorrow?
