Henry Atkins top-scored with 14 points from 6 rides, and Richard Andrews was next up with 11 + 1, again from 6 outings, as Plymouth Devils won their final NL home meeting of the season by 48 - 42 against Stoke Potters.
Both riders included a fell/excluded amongst their rides. Atkins produced four heat wins and a second to amass his 14 points.
Adam Sheppard deputised for injured Kelsey Dugard and scored 3 + 1.
Devils have two away meetings left in the NL, at Stoke and Buxton, both scheduled for the coming weekend.

The Devils lost 42 - 46 at home to a Young GB Lions U23 Select side tonight, in a Challenge meeting.
Richard Andrews scored 10 + 1, beaten only once by an opposing rider, but Henry Atkins had a difficult night, scoring just four points, after two fell/ex and a mechanical failure.
Saul Bulley managed three points at reserve for the Devils.

The scheduled Saturday meeting away to Stoke Potters having been rained off, the Devils raced at Buxton this afternoon in the first meeting of a double-header.
Sadly, they became the first team in twelve meetings this season to have lost to the Hitmen, going down 39 - 51. Henry Atkins scored 9 + 1 ( he had one F/Ex )from 6 rides and Richard Andrews managed 7 from five outings, again with one F/Ex.
Saul Bulley again stood in at reserve, but failed to score from three rides today.
Connor Coles scored 14 for the Hitmen, winning four heats, and adding a second place to that before coming a cropper in one race due to picking up unexpected grip.
Not the best of meetings for the Devils.

Richard Andrews switched sides and rode as a guest for Buxton Hitmen in the second meeting of their home double-header yesterday.
He enjoyed a profitable return of 12 + 1, although Hitmen went down 40 - 49 to Kent Kings.

Richard Andrews rode in the Laurels Individual meeting at Kent tonight.
He scored 7 points to reach the semi-finals, and won his semi, beating Jon Armstrong, who had top-scored with 10 points.
Sadly, Richard was last in the final, won by Armstrong from Nathan Stoneman.
Good effort though.
My apologies for not doing a report on the final meeting of the season at Plymouth, but I was abroad from 27 September for a week.

Richard Andrews rounded off a fine series of personal scores in recent months by adding 11 + 1 to his tally in a 41- 49 defeat for the Devils away at Stoke tonight, their final NL meeting of the season.
Henry Atkins was unavailable. Two riders who have featured for Exeter Falcons in the SDL this year rode for Devils, one as a guest. Macauley Leek scored two, and guest Adam Sheppard a decent four points.
That is it for the season folks.

Richard Andrews' good current scoring form earned him a guest appearance for Buxton Hitmen on Sunday 21 October, taking the place of the injured Connor Coles.
Richard scored an excellent 12 points from his next 5 rides, after running a last in his first outing. He was the only home rider to beat visiting guest Max Clegg, in heat 8.
Hitmen lost 44 - 46 to Birmingham Brummies in the NL encounter.

Henry Atkins rode in his debut meeting for the Somerset Rebels in the Championship Trophy meeting tonight, and scored a very respectable 6+1 as Rebels beat visiting Birmingham Brummies 52 - 38. He won heat 4 after Chris Harris allowed him through on lap 1 and then team-rode him home to a 5-1. Good start Henry !
